Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) is conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER). The State-level RTET/REET exam is conducted for the recruitment of teachers for two different levels, Level I or Primary Teacher and Level II or Upper Primary Teacher. As per various media sources, REET notification will be out soon to fill vacancies for 32,000 posts. Those who clear REET will be eligible for the post of teachers in classes 1-5 and classes 6-8.

REET Eligibility Criteria

Only those who meet eligibility criteria should apply for the jobs. Read the eligibility in details below:

  •  Age: There is no age limit for REET or RTET exam, candidates with relevant educational qualification from any age group can apply for the exam.

Educational Qualification:

Primary Teacher Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks along with appearing or passed in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Or,
Graduation along with appearing or passed in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Upper Primary teachers

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Or,
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Or,
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
Or,
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE regulations
Or,
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed

RTET Selection Procedure 2021

For a candidate, to clear RTET, has to go through the following stages of selection process:

RTET Application form : Candidates first need to fill an online RTET application form on the official website of BSER. After providing all details during online application, candidates need to pay RTET application fee online.

RTET Admit card : RTET admit card will be released one week before examination, candidates can download their RTET admit card from the official website of BSER. The admit card contains all important details regarding the exam such as date, time and test centre address.

RTET or REET exam : The state-level REET exam is conducted for the recruitment of primary teacher (Level I) and upper primary teacher (Level II). Level I recruits teachers for classes 1-5 and Level II recruits teachers for classes 6-8.
