About KVS Exam

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) conducts the examination to appoint candidates for teaching and non-teaching posts. These include Post Graduates Teachers(PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers(TGTs), and Primary Teachers(PRTs).


KVS Teachers Exam Pattern

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is recruiting Graduate and Post Graduate Teachers in the North East Zone. This is a good opportunity for the candidates aspiring to make their career in the Educational Sector. KVS PRT (Primary Teacher)/ PGT (Post Graduate Teachers)/ TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) exam is very important if you are planning to become a teacher.   •  The selection of the candidates will be based on two stages which are written exam and interview round.
  •  We have provided you the exam pattern for the written exam.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Teachers Exam Pattern

The selection of the candidates will be based on two stages:

  1. Written Exam
  2. Interview
  •  The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination and Interview put together.
  •  Thereafter, the final Merit List will be prepared.

KVS PGT/TGT/PRT Written Exam

To achieve your dream job you need to first clear the written examination then only you can proceed to the Interview Round. There are a total of three posts PGT, TGT, PRT. We have provided you the exam pattern in detail according to the board please go through it as it will help you to prepare for your exams.


  •  Based on the performance in the written examination and also keeping in view the number of vacancies, the candidates will be called for an Interview.
  •  Taking into account the performance of both written examination and interview, the merit list will be prepared in case of PGTs, TGTs and Primary Teachers. However, the mode of selection will be the sole discretion of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and subject to change.
